The race starts at 8:00 a.m. and will go out in FOUR WAVES. We will use a barricade system to divide the four separate waves, and the Minnesota Pacers will have their signs in each wave indicating which wave you should be in according to your goal time:
For those running slower than 2:30 we don't have a lead pacer and encourage all to finish in 3:00 hours to a maximum of 3 hours and 15 minutes. This is not a route for walkers as you are running on roads that are not closed to traffic. We do however, understand that there are situations where running and some walking are combined and sometimes it just happens to be a bit slower than what you like! We'll welcome you through the finish line (with a finisher medal).
In the event of rain, we will run the race as planned.
If there is dangerous weather in the area at the time of the race, for the safety of everyone involved, we will work with city officials (Wayzata, Orono & Excelsior) to delay the start of the race until the dangerous weather clears the area - in order to avoid race cancellation.
As a last resort, in the event of a cancellation due to adverse weather conditions and city officials not able to grant us the extra time on the closed roads, we are not able to issue refunds to participants.
